Bad Hair Days

Bad hair days happen more often than we’d like. So where do they come from, or in other words, how can you avoid them?
First off, let it be known that the state of your hair does not solely depend on your choice of hair-care brands, how often you shampoo or exactly how you style your hair. As we’ve said time and again in our Blog, healthy hair comes from inside—eat well, don’t smoke, stay out of the sun and exercise—chances are you’ll be on the right track, and will have fewer bad hair days to show for it.
The key word there is fewer, because to be perfectly frank, you can be the healthiest person on the planet and you’ll still have them (you can thank your hormonal cycle for that). Just as your skin changes throughout the month, from dry to oily and back again, so does your hair—some days it’s limp and lifeless no matter how many styling products you apply. The best advice we can give is to just be patient and adapt your style to how you hair is “acting” that day.
If you have longer hair, use those frustrating days to experiment with a new kind of bun, or hair accessory—put your hair up! Save your femme fatale look for those days when your hair chooses to cooperate.
If your hair is shorter, pull out the scarves or hats and cover up those troublesome locks. You can also talk to your stylist; he or she might have some magic tricks up their sleeve…
If you’d like to sound off about your bad hair days, feel free to vent to us!
